Officers Gulch is seriously awesome. Its right off I-70, near Frisco. It features a large lake, some aspens, mountain views, tall grasses, large rocks, wide landscapes, easy parking lot, but no bathroom.

Gorgeous in all seasons, but in the fall the leaves changing is stunning. One of the last places to change, so later fall (after Kenosha Pass, etc).

Spring/Summer/Fall are best. Leaves changed after Kenosha.

Spring + Summer are the best seasons. No Aspens (or any kind of tree really!), so the season doesn’t really matter. It’s a long drive to get there (about thirty-five miles northeast of Colorado Springs) with very little cell service in the area, so we’ll definitely car pool.
